International Initiative! The successful development of the 252kV phase-selection fast-acting low-frequency circuit breaker!

As of the end of 2022, China's offshore wind power installation capacity ranks first in the world. Compared to onshore wind power, offshore wind power has higher equipment costs and greater difficulty in operation and maintenance. To solve industry challenges, "flexible low-frequency transmission" has emerged, and the research and development of low-frequency circuit breakers is the most crucial part.

Recently, the "252kV phase-selection fast-acting low-frequency circuit breaker" developed by TK was successfully put into operation in the Hangzhou Zhongbu Tingshan low-frequency AC transmission project. This product has been included in the "National Key R&D Plan" and is also the first application of fast-acting circuit breaker technology and phase-selection breaking technology in the flexible low-frequency transmission demonstration project, which is an international initiative.
